Lucia Caminos is one of GTA 6's two protagonists: taught to fight by her father, jailed in the Leonida Penitentiary, and out with a plan. Here is her background in Rockstar's words.
Who Lucia Caminos is
Lucia Caminos is one of the two protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI, alongside Jason Duval. Rockstar's profile opens with her childhood: "Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk." Her pull quote sums up her outlook: "The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got."
Rockstar presents Lucia and Jason as a pair, so her profile and his are meant to be read together. Jason's side is covered in our Jason Duval guide.
Her background and prison time
Rockstar writes that life has been coming at her swinging ever since her father taught her to fight. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. Rockstar's explanation for her release is blunt: "Sheer luck got her out."
The profile adds that Lucia has learned her lesson, and that from here it is only smart moves. It does not say what the fight was, who she was protecting, or how long she served, and none of that has been confirmed elsewhere by Rockstar.
Her family and Liberty City
The most specific detail in her profile is about her mother. Rockstar says Lucia wants the good life her mum has dreamed of "since their days in Liberty City". So Lucia's family has a past in Liberty City, though the profile does not say when or why they left.
Rockstar contrasts that dream with Lucia's approach: instead of half-baked fantasies, she is prepared to take matters into her own hands.
Her plan, and Jason
The last part of her profile is about what comes next. Rockstar describes her as fresh out of prison and ready to change the odds in her favour, committed to her plan whatever it takes. It then ties that plan to Jason: "A life with Jason could be her way out."
Jason's profile says something similar from his side: meeting Lucia "could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him." Rockstar's story summary for the game says that when an easy score goes wrong, the pair end up in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida, forced to rely on each other.
Lucia's items in the editions
Rockstar says pre-orders and purchases made before 20 November get the Vintage Vice City Pack, which includes outfits and hairstyles for both Lucia and Jason. The Ultimate Edition adds more for her:
- A personalised Klose K17 pistol with detailed engravings.
- Signature salon styles at Sara's Unisex Salon, including makeup and nails for Lucia.
- Her version of the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, which Rockstar describes as his and hers.
What is still unconfirmed
GTA VI is due on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Any new character details before launch will appear on Rockstar Newswire.
- How her plan with Jason plays out, and whether it succeeds.
- The details of the fight that sent her to prison, and how long she was inside.
- How the game splits play between Lucia and Jason.
- Who voices her. Rockstar's profile does not name an actor.
