Where to Pre-Order GTA 6

Digital pre-orders run through the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, and physical copies come as a download code. Here is what to check before you pay.

Where to pre-order GTA 6

You can pre-order GTA 6 digitally on the PlayStation Store for PS5 and the Microsoft Store for Xbox Series X|S, or buy a physical copy from a retailer. Pre-orders opened worldwide at midnight local time on 25 June 2026, and Rockstar's GTA VI page links to the store listings. There is no PC pre-order, because Rockstar has not announced a PC version.

Starting from Rockstar's own page is the simplest way to reach the genuine listing for your console rather than a copycat page or a reseller.

Digital pre-orders on PlayStation and Xbox

  1. Sign in to the account you want the game on. The game and any bonuses attach to that account.
  2. Choose your edition: Standard at $79.99 or Ultimate at $99.99 in the US, according to TechRadar and MP1st. Prices in other regions differ, so check your own store.
  3. Pay for the pre-order. Digital pre-orders can pre-load from 12 November 2026, so the game can be installed before launch on 19 November.
  4. Redeem the free month of GTA+. MP1st says it comes with digital pre-orders of any edition, must be redeemed before an expiry date, is limited to one redemption per platform account, and renews at the regular monthly price until you cancel.

Physical copies

The physical version of GTA 6 contains a download code inside the box, not a disc. Rockstar says it will be available from 12 November to support pre-loading, so you still need an internet connection and enough free storage to install the game.

Rockstar has not published a list of participating retailers. Check that the retailer's listing names your console, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, and the edition you want. Keep the box and receipt until the code is redeemed.

Editions, bonuses and upgrades

Store listings give the cut-off as prior to 19 November 2026 at 23:59:59, with no time zone, so buy by 19 November if you want the pack. Our pre-order bonus article explains the deadline in full.

  • Standard Edition, $79.99 (US): the full game.
  • Ultimate Edition, $99.99 (US): the game plus extras that Rockstar lists on its GTA VI page, such as a '95 Grotti Cheetah, Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor and a Macca the Gator capsule clothing collection, unlocked chapter by chapter through the story.
  • Vintage Vice City Pack: Rockstar says pre-orders and purchases made before 20 November get the Vintage Vice City Pack. It includes a two-tone '55 Vapid Stanier and a garage by Ocean Beach, outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti's palm tree shirt.
  • Upgrade: An Ultimate Edition Upgrade is reported to cost $20 (MP1st; GTABoom says Xbox lists it at US$20), but Rockstar has not published the price, so check your store.

The Vice City Collection is sold elsewhere

The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection is a limited-edition box of merchandise, not a game edition. Rockstar's Newswire says it is available to pre-order while supplies last at store.rockstargames.com, arrives on 19 November, and that the game is sold separately. Details for Asia, Latin America and Australia are still to follow.

Before you pay

  1. Check the platform on the listing. Rockstar names only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so ignore any listing that offers a PC copy.
  2. Check the edition and the price in your region before you confirm.
  3. Check that the listing mentions the Vintage Vice City Pack.
  4. Free up storage before 12 November, when pre-loading starts. Rockstar has not published the install size.
  5. Follow Rockstar Newswire for any changes to dates or offers.

Pre-order now or buy at launch?

Waiting until launch day costs you little on the bonus side, since Rockstar's cut-off covers purchases as well as pre-orders up to the end of 19 November. The real advantages of pre-ordering are the pre-load from 12 November and, for digital buyers, the free GTA+ month. A copy bought on launch day still has to download in full before you can play.
